Nature has amazing benefits for adults and children! No matter the season, there are so many well-being opportunities hidden in nature. Nature is a powerful all-in-one as it benefits physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
You might be thinking, "Well, that's all great. How do I incorporate nature on the days I don't have time?" Going for a walk or playing at the park are wonderful ways to connect with nature. Getting outside is best. Try these tips for the days you can't fit in nature time.
Take Moments to Notice Nature
Look out the window at the grass, trees, flowers, plants, and animals while you drink a few sips of your favorite morning beverage. Take in the beauty.
Bring Nature Indoors
Buy some flowers or a plant at the local store and put in a place you can enjoy. Feel connected to nature every time you walk by.
Connect with Your Senses
Listen to birds singing, watch the clouds, feel the grass on your bare feet, smell flowers, and taste the crisp air. Enjoy outside or use music and your imagination to enjoy inside the house.
Connecting children with nature is a 2-for-1, as nature promotes well-being and learning development for children.
How can I nurture nature? Search your local bookstore for other books as there are many resources, but here's some to get you started.
